are you sure you used - and not + ? Costas Oh, I'm sorry. Indeed that was with the + sign! Re: Using |_AUTODETECT_| in a verse rule
I already tried it with -1000, but that took many chapters...csterg wrote:Not sure if that would work, but try:
<RX 1:5-150>
The 150 is something big so maybe tw would just display up to the end of the chapter,

Re: Using |_AUTODETECT_| in a verse rule
The text in subscript however got also selected with the Bible text itself, where it shouldn't?! It can be selected with the mouse, yes. Try to apply formatting to it though, it should not apply to it. Indeed the formatting is not applied. The behaviour is different from RX-tags herein, that in gra...

Re: Using |_AUTODETECT_| in a verse rule
I want the target reference to be automatically detected from the reference provided ... There is a way, but it's not the best since you will need to hard-code the book names: <a href=Gen 1:1>Gen 1:1</a> This will work because the "Gen 1:1" which is the target will be parsed as a vref. I ...

Re: Special Compare in Bible View
Question. I need to create a verse.rule in a Bible module, which can insert inline text from another Bible module. It is something like "inline commentaries" in TW. I know of "compare" function in Bible view, but I need a constant and immediate entering between some specific Bib...

Re: The ASV Module
Actually, it requires some scripting to take the ASV notes (they are in a commentary) and insert them in .ont file (in the proper locations) as <RF> tags. What do you think? I do have some experience of scripting using perl taking (html-formatted) data from a mysql database. The thing that I am uns...

Re: The ASV Module
I think I could give it a try, if not to much (better: none) sql is required.csterg wrote:Not yet; it need some scripting to integrate the notes in the text itself; it is currently as a commentary module, yet it should go in the .ont itself,
Costas
P.S. Anyone that would want to undertake this?

Re: Copying Web Content to Notes/Commentary
I suppose you want to copy some text from the web, and then add automatically a footnote with a link pointing to the source? This is not implemented.
What Costas meant, seems to be that you can copy text preserving links to other web pages etc. so that you can click on the links from within The Word.

Re: Adding STEP files to TW
Sorry, I made a mistake, see corrected post. You don't need to type book.dat explicitly but only the name of the folder where it is located.
It thus would be for this case:

Re: STEPDUMP
Hi, I downloaded the file, and then extracted the package, but could not make it run on my Win7. A window opens for about half a second, and then just vanishes. What am I doing wrong, and how do I use this little thingie? Dave The actual usage of the tool is quite simple. It is a command line tool,...

The app won't run, I get "Runtime error 217 at 00AE7A43" I am running Windows 7 32-bit. maybe there is a dependency on sqlite3.dll? Try putting it in theword folder pls, Costas Indeed, putting the dll in the same folder (or vice versa) does the trick. Now going to see what it is able to do.

Re: Adding STEP files to TW
What I have used in the past with some succes, is an executable called stepdump.exe It belongs to the so-called sword-utilities from The Sword Project: get it at http://www.crosswire.org/ftpmirror/pub/sword/utils/win32/sword-utilities-1.6.1.zip It enables you to extract the text from the STEP file. ...
