Re: Tool for copying some settings from a Config file to another

C:\Users\Damasceno Ribeiro\AppData\Roaming\The Word, or the one at C:\ProgramData\The Word\Templates, or some other? The Template one is what theWord uses as a template. I would not change that one. Thank you, I will restore the file as it was before in my new fresh installation. Where is your back...

Re: Tool for copying some settings from a Config file to another

Greetings, thank you very much! Now, I have a dummy question... the config.ini that I should copy is the one (whose existence I just discovered) at C:\Users\Damasceno Ribeiro\AppData\Roaming\The Word, or the one at C:\ProgramData\The Word\Templates, or some other? I have tried the latter and then th...

Re: Tool for copying some settings from a Config file to another

Jonathan, thanks for sharing this resource, it seems timely as I am upgrading from a HD to a SSD and from Windows 7 to 10, and have to do a fresh installation of theWord. Now, I am not being able to open the Google Drive link you have shared, it goes to an Error 404 message. Could you please share a...

Re: Linux newbie w/ Wine questions concerning TW

Hey Therapon, I realize it has been a long time, but hopefully you have resolved your issues. I run TW latest beta on Linux Mint 20 (sometimes switching to Ubuntu Mate 20.04) and Wine 5.14. I run triple monitors with TW on an SSD. My setup runs exceedingly well, and because of the SSD exceedingly f...

Re: Analytic Septuagint with morphology tags

I've used a convertion table Costas provided me with in order to create a KJV compatible module. One potential problem is that this table is at a verse level, but I'm understand the LXX-Massoretic alignment is sometimes at word level. Since I did not validate the whole module manually, I cannot giv...

Re: Analytic Septuagint with morphology tags

This thread have forked into two different topics: Accented LXX + morphology : I do have a working bible module and a companion dictionary. You can get it here . An analytical Greek dictionary based on Perseus data : I also have a working module, but it's quite big (over 500MB). I started experimen...

Re: iPad App: iBible-Study HD - theWord Modules on iPad

Does iBible work too for iPhones? I am asking that for a brother who belongs to the iPhone tribe, and is not too tech-savvy. I never had any iPhone than I am at loss on what to advise. If theWord modules may work too on iPhones, it is worth of it's salt. But my friend is not being able to find iBibl...

Re: Analytic Septuagint with morphology tags

Rubio, if you might take this project again, it would be great! Thus, it seems there would be no copyright issue about the dictionaries. Now, a thought: would it be possible (and practical, and more convenient) to make Diogenes work as some kind of add-in into theWord interface? I mean, as one may d...

Re: Analytic Septuagint with morphology tags

Dioegenes looks like the engine that does the search, but the data come from elsewhere. Yes, Costas, it seems above all a search engine, however the dictionaries work offline , finely and quickly. Oftentimes I work offline, and Diogenes helped a lot, because there is no need to be online to have ac...

Re: Looking for english septuagint with STRONGS

Norrin, sorry for the late answer, only now I saw the new question. Actually, the team of Apostolic Bible Polyglot created extra numbers for LXX words that do not appear on NT. Thus, they might be numbered as G604.1, .2, .3, &c (that is, supplying the intermediate entries according alphabetical ...

Re: error: [5]: database is locked (since backup on the clou

Thank you very much, Jon! :D the files are working again (as if files newly installed, but in their proper folders in the module sets, as previously).

Now, have you any advice about cloud backup for the Program Data folder of theWord, so that any trouble is minimized? Thank you again.

Re: Analytic Septuagint with morphology tags

I hope there are conditions to this project to walk, since it would be great! although I imagine how much hard work would be needed to put it working. I have however a suggestion, that I am not sure whether or not it is doable. There is a very good Greek-Latin dictionary software, Diogenes, which wo...

error: [5]: database is locked (since backup on the cloud)

Hi, dear friends! Some two weeks ago, I began to create a cloud backup for my main folders. There is a server which offers a GOOD lot of Gigas, quick upload, practical restoration of files or folders, &c. It update daily any backuped folder that suffered any change (creating, deleting or changin...

Re: ACF 2011?

Re: Looking for english septuagint with STRONGS

Bugger, there is already a very good official module of theWord which contains the LXX+Strong tags+Interlinear English text, Old and New Testament. It is called Apostolic Bible Polyglot (ABP). The English interlinear text may be easily toggled. For certain uses, the only shortcoming is that the text...
