Re: Feedback on .1390

I've been so busy with my own module development that I have not been keeping tabs with TW program development. But add my voice to those who would find this a useful feature, even if only "advanced." It shouldn't take the place, however, of being able to float an undocked window. I see a ...

Re: Restrict to single instance

I can give the example of one user who has a use for such a feature (concurrent instances). I have multiple installations ("compact") of TW -- three that I use regularly: my "main" installation, with a slew of paid modules; a second installation which mirrors the first, less the ...

Re: Help with duplicate topic_id issue...

Correct. Give it a try first (making backup copies). That worked. Ir was a little more tedious than expected, because there were more internal links than I remembered. But all the external links and scripture links worked as expected after pasting. Now I will just be extra careful in making sure th...

Re: Help with duplicate topic_id issue...

Well, it's very easy to just update the topic_ids in the tables, so I assume your question refers on updating the topic_ids in the hyperlinks, correct? Costas I suppose that is what I am asking. Say the topic id's range from 1-100. I think you are saying it would be easy to update the topic_ids in ...

Help with duplicate topic_id issue...

Well, despite best efforts, I've gone and created two commentary modules with similar ranges of topic_id's, and cannot merge them into a new module. I'm wondering if there is a SQL solution to this problem. More detail: I've been creating commentary modules with (what I thought were) unique ranges o...

Re: Missing entry ("Last Time, Times" by Vos) in IBSE.

I found it. It is not listed in the "L's" where I was looking for it. At the end of the "Z's" there are a bunch of more entries, and I found it there.

Missing entry ("Last Time, Times" by Vos) in IBSE.

The article "Last Time, Times" by Vos is missing in the ISBE module. Curiously, it is referenced in the entry for "Day, Last" but not linked (of course).

Any reason why it should be missing?

Re: Need help with LXX references.

Manuel, there is no doubt that mathetes was correct about "1-4 Reg." representing "1-4 Kings." It made perfect sense as soon as he suggested it, and I have confirmed numerous times now that substituting "1&2 Sa." and "1&2 Ki" for "1-4 Reg." w...

Re: Need help with LXX references.

Manuel, that makes perfect sense, as "Reg." is undoubtedly from Latin as well (regiae?).

Re: Need help with LXX references.

Thanks a lot. The "Reg." as references to 1-4 Kings makes perfect sense; not sure how I missed it. The other reference was "Sap." not "Sop." However, having checked a couple of the references to the cited chapter and verses in a Greek text of Wisd., these do appear to b...

Need help with LXX references.

I am working on a module of Frame's commentary for 1&2Thess in the ICCNT series, and am encountering some strange references to the LXX. I've checked his list of abbreviations, have searched the entire PDF, and have checked the list of SBL abbreviations, and cannot find an answer to my question....

Web Viewer?

Costas, Have you ever considered adding a web viewer to TW? There are scores of online biblical resources for which there are no modules, and likely never will be. I have a collection of bookmarks to favorite sites, including a couple dozen links to the online version of various commentaries and ref...

Re: clink on link controlled how?

Jon,

Yes, these are portable installations. And copying the older config.ini over to the newer installation worked. That changed a bunch of other things also, but was all probably for the better. So thanks for the tip. I do wish I knew what setting it was that accounted for this, however.

clink on link controlled how?

I'm rusty with my use of TW, and cannot divine what dialog/settings govern the behavior when clicking on a hyperlink. I have two instances of TW, one a 3.2x version, and one a 4.0x version. Thinks are working the way I want/expect in the 3.2x version, which is that when I click on a hyperlink, focus...

Re: Dutch bibles

Good day, I took the liberty of approaching the publisher of the HSV and received the following reply: Dear Mr. Willem Swanepoel, (I presume you can understand English, as I cannot write in your beautiful African-Dutch language) I am sorry to say we will not grant the Word a license for the Herzien...
