Re: New World Translation Module

Of course, the NWT has many "omitted verses," so you will end up with fewer than in a more standard translation, just as the Living Bible paraphrase intentionally omits verses, or combines verses into separate ideas, producing gaps in the calculation. Those omitted verses must be set to ap...

Re: Recommended theme for TheWord

Darrel, I guess I misunderstood, then, that mybible was interested in receiving all material, as long as it was left to their discretion. So, what they want, then, is only Bibles, commentaries, and dictionaries. Thanks for the tip. Yes, the developer is not only a perfectionist but a bit of a know -...

Re: Recommended theme for TheWord

Darrell, Yes, one drawback with MyBible is that you cannot easily develop your own modules, if at all, although hundreds are available for free download, including all the translations that people seek the most (unlike MySword, which does not even offer the NKJV, for example). In fact, if you come a...

Re: New World Translation Module

I have a sneaking suspicion that, if you contacted Watchtower Society, they would give you permission to make a module for public distribution. Developing such a module would only promote their cause.

Re: Recommended theme for TheWord

One of the main problems is that, while the background color of bookview windows can be adjusted manually, the text color does not adapt. Consequently, if I make the background black, the text remains black, making it completely invisible, unless I manually re-color every chapter of every book modul...

Re: Tips & Software for creating, formatting, converting mod

I have made only one ONT file, and it worked well, but I cannot remember how I did it. The nice part is that all of the verses were already separated, unlike your document, so it was just a question of formatting and converting. The instructions are here on the forum somewhere. Whenever a text has e...

Thanks for the detailed information, brother. I have faith that, With God, all things are still possible.

How to remove indentations from a book module globally

Hello, friends. Anyone using the Guzik Commentary may have already noticed that the indented outline form makes it a little harder to use. The empty spaces produced by the wide indentations diminish the amount of text that can be displayed at one time in any window, requiring the user to scroll left...

Re: Recommended theme for TheWord

To make matters worse, even by applying the Windows Vista "Ease of Access" option of using an inverted, high-contrast display for the entire interface and every program within it, TheWord still does not comply, producing a hybrid-sort of color scheme. In other words, I get many dark elemen...

Re: How to colorize large portions of Bible text?

I think I got it converted, now, using Notepad++ to search-and-replace the marker within the text, and then convert the new text to MySword format. Thank you.

Too bad that TheWord cannot format multiple contiguous verses at one time.

How to colorize large portions of Bible text?

Is there any way to colorize entire chapters of text without having to select each verse one by one? For example, as most of Matthew 24 represents the words of Christ, the text appears in red, in some translations. What if I want them to appear in green? Must I select and convert every verse individ...

Re: Recommended theme for TheWord

The "default" skin is beautiful, but its brightness begins to take its toll on the eyes after many hours of daily reading. For those of you who have not experimented with different skins, the only "dark themes" that TheWord offers are EOS and ELEMENTS, I believe. Notice (far belo...

Recommended theme for TheWord

Hello again. I have discovered that, as I do more and more reading on the computer screen, whatever I can do to reduce eye strain becomes all the more important. This became especially apparent to me on my smart phone, during the past one year that I have used one, as the screen was even smaller, an...

Re: Tips & Software for creating, formatting, converting mod

Thanks, brother Dave, the Master Module Builder.

In fact, that was just what I was looking for for MySword. I can think of five Bible modules that I need badly on MySword, which I already have on TheWord and Online Bible. Great timing.
