Re: Crossover or Wine with OS X LION

Dear Costas,

you were right! Wine works with LION. :!:
No need of Crossover anymore.

I have been testing it just a few minutes though.
So at first glance no performance issue or anything else.
Otherwise I will let you know.

Thank you for the Link!

Crossover or Wine with OS X LION

Hi all, I've got Lion on my machine now and crossover won't work anymore. I read that you need the version 10.1 of crossover that I don't want to buy again. http://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover/requirements/ Is wine the solution? (talking about the software, not the fruit ;)) - On the websi...

Re: does this program work on mac?

Hi, I confirm the following. This is the way how to install The Word on a MAC. Use the "Emulator" CrossOver. Installation went really smooth with CrossOver 9.2 and TW 3.2.0.1102 . The only thing that is a bit slow is if you swap from let's say the Bible view to the Study view, it takes 1-2...

Re: mac and theWord

Hi, I confirm the same. Installation went really smooth with CrossOver 9.2 and TW 3.2.0.1102 . The only thing that is a bit slow is if you swap from let's say the Bible view to the Study view, it takes 1-2 seconds to change the corresponding toolbar. Also, when you resize the window to full screen, ...

Was...

Hi K.Vettriselvan, concerning copyright issues, there´s always one basic rule to respect: The content needs to date from 70 years after the death of the author . E.G.: Author X lived from 1860-1940, and wrote a book when he was 28 years old, so in 1888. Since he died in 1940 you add 70 years on that...

Hi fraka, 3) concerning user modules It´s easy to create new user modules via menu, it´s also easy to organize them, but I can not find any way to delete them from within TW. Is there any way? I know, it´s possible via windows, but it is not so easy to find them in all the possible directories... Th...

Hi Tbrros, thanks for telling other people about TW!! Can I do a suggestion? You can promote it now, but maybe it´s better to do it when the FINAL release is out. It doesn´t give the best impression, to promote a RC... ...even though the download-rate has tenfold since last year!! We´re going...

...we´re coming to an end.

MsLile, I hope you recover from all your illnesses. :!:

We´re really getting to an end now. We did many things in 2008.
There were also a few challenges this year. By God´s grace we are, where we are.

I´ll write a newsletter to update everybody...
