Re: Layouts Feature Request: leave current verse unchanged
I suppose it was not what Costas had in mind for the feature (but you would have to talk to the horse to find out for certain). Here is some info from the help... So the action is quite clear, I think. Does TW have provision for requesting "Feature Requests"? If so, I'd hope "the hor...

Is theword.net forum using phpBB forum s/w from 2007?
The "Powered By phpBB" at the bottom of all forum pages indicates a latest date of 2007. Is there a more recent version?

Re: Have Verse-Notes been deprecated, or still functional?
Wow ... glad I asked. I did wrestle with the Verse-Note capability, and am impressed with the implementation. I'd held off tackling that capability until getting confirmation from the support replies that it hadn't been phased out. Perhaps it should be a separate question, but is highlighting verses...

Re: Layouts Feature Request: leave current verse unchanged
Thanks. I can use your suggestion. I probably switch layouts more than most. Generally, I will follow sermons with at least 2+ different translations open ... such as the trans that is the "home Bible" for that preacher, and at least one other. Generally, if the "home Bible" is f...

Re: Have Verse-Notes been deprecated, or still functional?
This very rusty TW user had been vaguely aware of "verse-notes" but never tried that feature out. Looks Very Good so far. Is there a tutorial for using verse-notes? If not, would that possibly be something I could help with? Separate question: is there a way to have two windows next to eac...

Layouts Feature Request: leave current verse unchanged
I really like and regularly use the Layouts capability. My guess is that was difficult to implement. However, there may possibly be room for improvement, at least in the way I use Layouts. For example, I may have a defined a Layout that applies to when I am at RMC church that primarily uses the NKJV...

Have Verse-Notes been deprecated, or still functional?
This rusty fan of TheWord has been lazy, and never learned how to incorporate my own notes into Bible verses. Is this related to Verse-Notes? For example, I now want to be able to associate some thoughts with 2 Cor 1:6 6 If we are distressed, it is for your comfort and salvation; if we are comforted...

Re: theword for windows 10 phone
Hi Dan, i am afraid that the best approach for the moment is a Windows tables that can run native apps. There are great tabs like that out there. Agree. I've been running TW 5 as a native app on an entry level Asus tablet that I got for about $99 on a Black Friday sale. I also have TW installed on ...

TW GOOD on laptops and GREAT with touch-screen enabled Win10
Costas and others involved in TW, My experience is that the very fast, native compiled TW works well on Windows 8.1 devices that typically don't have touch-screens, but do have a keyboard. Example: Asus entry level Win 8.1 laptop with wimpy Atom cpu, minimal memory, and as few as possible other reso...

Re: theWord 5 is released!
Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview has a lot of bugs that need to be fixed Agree. I've been distressed at so many problems ... show stoppers imo ... that are still around this close to RTM (release to manufacturing). It does seem like the issue may be tendencies to have conflict if you have a moderate ...

Re: theWord 5 is released!
I did as you said. I ran the test version and clipboard monitoring still does not work. Works fine for me with Win-7 and TW 5.0.0.1450. Note that I haven't used clipboard monitoring all that much. It does seem to behave a bit differently that I recall from years ago. When I just select the referenc...

Re: theWord 5 is released!
Excellent! You might want to make this announcement "sticky" and remove the "stickiness" from the ver 4 announcement. I did a brief install of TW 5.0x with Windows 10 Preview Build 10130, and it seemed to work fine. On my Win-7 partition, I've still got ver 4 installed. When I di...
