Detecting references (from the Spanish forum)

Post by jonathangkoehn »

Krono asks:

How can I make theWord to detect for me the references Jac 1.1 like Stg 1.1?
I would like to know how to include personal biblical abbreviations in theWord. I have a module in which it has the book of James (Santiago) but instead of having Stg, it has Jac... and it doesn't detect it. How can I make theWord do this?

[Jonathan]
I know where to add it but I'm not sure if a short name in alias 3 can have two entries or how to have two entries.

Contact the originator of the language file and ask them to do it.
Their details are at the top of the .lng file.

My understanding is that the individual would just like to add this for his use. It is not a standard formatting for James/Santiago to have Jac but I could understand how sometimes it may since James comes from Jacob in the Greek NT.

So this is just a request for detection of an alternative name of a Bible book.
In the .lng file they are using, find the [Search.Patterns] section.
