 New Topic Export
When I export one or more topics the exported file is reported as corrupt and cannot be opened. This happens whether I choose rtf or word format. Am I doing something wrong?

 Re: New Topic Export
I find there is no issue with the .docx file and opening it with MS Word, but fails with OpenOffice and LibreOffice both on Linux and MS Windows 10. Export as .rtf not working yet. If you open the file with a zip program you see it is docx inside. Costas has allotted some time at the weekend to this feature.

 Re: New Topic Export
Hi Jon or Darryl,
Am I missing something or is this function available to just a few for testing purposes right now? I have looked everywhere (I think) in 1495 and do not see an export function.
Thanks guys.

 Re: New Topic Export
right-click on the topics tree and you'll see the export function.

 Re: New Topic Export
Hmms, I can export some just fine, but on another if I do all it gives a problem. I'm not sure which topic though is causing the error. I've added it to this message. On the other hand this is pretty cool!! Thanks Costas [Edit: The commentary attached is the one giving me problems with exporting. Feel free to look it over. It is just sermon notes from over the years.]

 Re: New Topic Export
I too wondered what the "Export" feature was till I found the new beta. Same here, rtf isn't anything that is readable and all I have to open docx is libre which hung on it. Hey but I am glad for a new edition anyway, only have 5 theWord applications already running on one computer.
Jonathan, sent a brief PM to you concerning something slightly off topic.

 Re: New Topic Export
So I take it that nothing has moved on this issue yet?

 Re: New Topic Export
Hey Costas, I notice in 1496 that export topics still is not working in LibreOffice or any of my editors. I look forward to testing it when it's ready.

 Re: New Topic Export
Okay, the new release (1497) RTF works very welll. But docx files will not open in Libre Writer. They show as being corrupted. The same file, saved as .rtf, opens beautifully. html files also open very nicely. So getting closer ...

 Re: New Topic Export
1498 release has same issue as 1497. Docx file will not open in LibreOffice. It says the format is corrupt.

 Re: New Topic Export
This is interesting. I confirm an issue with LibraOffice for Windows also. However if I open the file with Word 2010 and save it again, it will open in LibreOffice.
